Drayton Green EU Referendum Vote RESULT

On the 23rd June 2016, Adults in the UK voted to say if they thought we should remain or leave the EU.

At Drayton Green, the children have had their say too, as we had our own vote.  In order for them to make an informed choice some speakers came in to talk to the children. They were Cllr David Rogers who is our local councillor along with Cllr Stephen Cowan, who is leader of Hammersmith and Fulham Council spoke for Remain and Cllr Ian Proud spoke for the Leave campaign. The children asked lots of questions to all three politicians.

We would like to thank Cllrs Roger, Cowan and Proud for their talks to the children.

RESULTS

# Remain - 211 children

# Leave - 29 children

The Remain voted carried and Drayton Green Primary school will remain part of the EU

Following on from the Referendum result Mulberry Class have written a letter to the people of Great Britain

School Garden

Mulberry Class and the whole of Drayton Green Primary school would like to thank Joanna Kusnierz for her hard work and dedication througout the Spring and Summer Term. Joanna volunteered 2 to 3 afternoons every week and taught the children in Mulberry Class about gardening.

She worked with the children to completely transform the garden by weeding it, preparing the oil and planting sunflowers and other plants.  She taught the children about all the different animals you can find in the garden and their importance.  she also made stain glass windows, birdhouses and posters to decorate the garden with the children.  The children absolutely loved the experince and because of Joanna, have developed a love of gardening.

Thank you so much Joanna!
