Dear Parents/Carers An isolated case of Scarlett Fever was reported to school yesterday evening. The main symptoms of Scarlett Fever are a sore throat, high temperature, a sandpaper-like rash and the tongue has a strawberry-like appearance. If you are concerned that your child may be displaying any of these symptoms please book an appointment to see a GP. They will prescribe a course of antibiotics to treat the infection. The Health Protection Agency has informed us that we are entering the season for Scarlett Fever and it predominantly affects 4-7 year olds.
