Dear Parents and Carers,
Although we can’t directly teach your child for the time being, we have provided some learning tasks for home. We will upload work every week onto the school website and have supplied exercise books for this to be completed in.
We have tried to make the process as straightforward as possible and will upload a cover letter each week so your child knows exactly what they are expected to do for that week. This will include:
Work to be completed in books;
At least 45 minutes reading each day;
Revising a times table (on Times Tables Rockstars) each week;
Visiting Bug Club twice a week.
We will also include a list of useful, appropriate websites for your child to access should you so wish.
It has been our experience that children do not always put the same amount of effort in for homework as they do at school, so we would suggest that you monitor the work to ensure that it is finished to a high standard.
It is important that children have feedback about their work, but we will not be there to mark anything. It will be too late to do so when school eventually reopens, so, where practical, answers will be provided for you or your child. However, for some tasks (for example, writing), this is not feasible, hence we would suggest you look over and assess the finished work with your child.
We sincerely hope that life at home is as trouble-free as it can be during such a concerning time for us all and we very much look forward to seeing you all as soon as possible.
Our very best wishes,
Mr Israr and Mr Inzani
