Safeguarding

Drayton Green Primary School is committed to Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all of its pupils. Each pupil’s welfare is of paramount importance. We recognise that some children may be especially vulnerable to abuse. We recognise that children who are abused or neglected may find it difficult to develop a sense of selfworth and to view the world in a positive way. Whilst at school, their behaviour may be challenging. We recognise that some children who have experienced abuse may harm others. We will always take a considered and sensitive approach in order that we can support all of our pupils.

The school’s Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL)  is  Mrs Doherty, the Headteacher.  Two other members of staff support her with this  and deputise for her in her absence.  Currently the Deputy Designated Safeguarding Leads (DDSL) are  Ms Sonia  Lett,  Mrs Sameena Burles.  Ms Lett is also the DSL for the ARP.  All three are fully trained in child protection and interagency working.

The Ealing Local Authority Designated Officer (LADO) is Natalie Cernuda and can be contacted on asv@ealing.gov.uk or 020 8825 8930.
