Year 6 SATs information and preparation

What are the SATs?

SATs are the Standardised Assessment Tests that are given to children at the end of Key Stage 2.

The SATs take place over four days. This year it will be Monday 11th to Thursday 14th May 2026

Please do not make any appointments or planned absences during SATs week.

Every child needs to attend every day of SATs week as absent children will automatically get zero.

The SATs assessments are:

Tests are taken away and marked externally – the teachers do not mark the tests. The results are sent to the school in July and this will be shared with parents.
