The Excellence in Education Federation

Following a period of careful consideration, discussion and collaboration, both Governing Bodies voted to proceed with forming a formal federation between the two schools and the Excellence in Education Federation was officially formed in April 2026.

Since the Federation began, staff and leaders across both schools have worked in close partnership. This collaboration has already brought significant benefits, including shared expertise, strengthened leadership capacity, and the development of consistent, high-quality approaches to teaching and learning. The decision to federate allows us to build on these positive foundations, ensuring that:

• both schools continue to flourish
• each school retains and celebrates its unique identity
• we deepen the strengths and best practice that already exist
• children benefit from the combined experience, stability and ambition of a united leadership team
• children benefit from shared experiences that widen their educational experience
• staff benefit from shared training and CPD opportunities

This is an important and forward-looking step for both communities. Federation will help us secure long-term stability, strong educational outcomes and continued improvement for every child.
